6 PM- Enjoy cocktails and hor's d'ouvres with musical toasts from the operas Hamlet and Don Giovanni

7 PM- Dinner is served, alongside a performance of Leonard Bernstein's song cycle "La Bonne Cuisine".

8 PM- Dessert! Decadent French chocolate cake, accompanied by a performance of Lee Hoiby's one-act opera "Bon Appetit!", where flamboyant master chef Julia Child bakes you a chocolate cake! Erika Vasallo stars as Julia Child.

Join Orchestra Miami for dessert & Lee Hoiby’s one-woman opera, Bon Appetit! Composed as a vehicle for Jean Stapleton—who, despite being best known as Edith Bunker on All in the Family, was a classically trained singer- Bon Appetit! takes you into Julia Child’s kitchen as she prepares and serves a luscious French chocolate cake for her TV viewers.
Cuban-American mezzo-soprano Erika Vasallo plays culinary icon Julia Child in this one-woman showpiece, accompanied at the piano by Orchestra Miami’s Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi.
Tickets are just $25 and include a slice of cake after the show! A cash bar is also available. Dessert performance starts at 8 PM. The performance lasts approximately 30 minutes.
